Joints(movable): You can slightly move your spine for example when you bend over.
They are a few types of movable joints:-
Hinge joint are a joint which allows the body part to move in one plane e.g. at the knee, elbow and fingers.
Ball and socket joint allow free movement in all areas e.g. at the pelvis and shoulder
Gliding joints allow a short distance movement over each other e.g. the wrist and ankle.
Pivot joint allow only rotation e.g. spinal vertebrae and at the head.
Joints(immovable): Immovable joints are were the bones cannot move. For example, the skull cannot suddenly start rotating a part of its structure excluding the jaw.
Muscles: Antagonistic muscles work in pairs and are the muscles that work against each other. They work by one of them contracting or shortens and the other one relaxes and vice versa. Muscles are supported by bones with their tendons. The bones then act as a lever. This process occurs to move limbs and other parts of the body at the joints. The joints are held together by ligaments.
